Our Facilities

Seri Mawar is located in Avenue Park, One Ampang Avenue, a quiet peaceful park, ideal for nature and environmental studies. At Seri Mawar, children play and learn in a clean, spacious, purpose-built facility. Outdoors, there is a playground for fun, physical activities. Children have access to the Condominium’s facilities including two children’s pools, a cinemarette and a function room.

Seri Mawar provides a well-rounded program within a warm, secure and stimulating environment, in which children are encouraged to be active learners so that they may develop into happy, confident and creative thinkers and problem-solvers. Our program encourages the social and emotional development of your child, as well as his/her cognitive and physical development.

Our Curriculum and Programs

Seri Mawar’s curriculum and programs are child-centered and holistic. We believe that children learn best through play and through a theme-based and integrated approach. Classrooms are divided into learning centers where children may choose to dress up and role play or paint, build with blocks or look at books. However, teachers do provide direction to ensure a balanced program.Your child is accepted for what he or she is. We build on your child’s strengths, providing developmentally-appropriate activities which

are suitable to your child’s stage of development, abilities, needs, interests and background. All your child’s efforts will be acknowledged and accepted so that learning becomes meaningful, effective and FUN!

Our Teachers

Our teachers are carefully chosen, and have a keen interest in, and a genuine love for children. All teachers have an SPM (Form Five qualification), as well as a Montessori Diploma or other local certificates in early childhood care and education.

Other Information

Optional classes include Computers, Mandarin and Music. While children of residents have priority, the Centre is open to non-residents as well.

Our 24 Hours Infant and Daycare Service

We understand the worries and fears of most working parents in having to leave their young children at the mercy of caregivers. Most grandparents are aged and physically unable to handle the demands of a growing child. Whilst the employment of foreign maids are popular in Malaysia, there are a lot of problems that can arise from leaving your child under their care. Nannies may be a caring lot but most are inadequate at providing the educational needs of a child.

Taska Suria Sayang is therefore the answer to your prayers. Here, your bundle of joy will be well taken care of. Children in our 24 hour childcare programme will follow the school curriculum during school hours. They will learn to socialize as well as built up their motor skills and hand eye coordination. Thereafter, they will be taken care of by our Principal. She will provide excellent care with air-conditioned bedrooms and individual beds specially designed for the infants. Children involved in the 24 hours programme will also have access to a specially furnished play room which is safe, clean and very functional.

Our Premise

• Large 10-room bungalow with attached bathrooms and spacious garden

• All classrooms are fully air-conditioned with HepaAir filters/sanitizers

Our Curriculum

• Thematic in nature.

• Subjects include:

English and literacy, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, Mathematics, Science, music & movement, right brain training, IQ development (puzzle, concept work, flash cards), art & craft, story telling, picture conversation and chinese poetry recital.

• For infants, music, inner talk, is constantly played to enhance their intelligence. Ample good quality and fun educational toys are provided for them to improve on their motor skills as well as hand eye coordination.

• For children under 4 years old, our Montessori method encourages social and cultural development whilst building motor, language and mathematical skills.

• For maximum results, each student is given time for daily individual reading with a trained teacher.

• For children 4 to 6 years old, our multiple intelligence method of teaching prepares them for primary school regardless of the type of school system they will enter in Year 1.

• Special yearly activities include concert and prize giving ceremony.

• Field trips/excursions are organized 3 times a year with extra care taken on safety.

Our Food

• Infants six months and above are fed nutritious and healthy home-cooked porridge.

• Full-day students are provided with 3 meals a day. All lunches and dinners are home-cooked; the menu of which changes each day of the week.

Our Teaching Staff

• All our teachers have a genuine love for children.

• Qualifications (at least one of the following)

- SPM or equivalent

- Montessori Diploma

- Other local & overseas certificate in early childhood care & education
