Seri Rasa Sayang has adopted a play based-developmental approach to early childhood education offering each child an opportunity for individual attention in an atmosphere that is conducive to building a strong self-concept, interactive skills, and an experiential base. Group sizes and adult-child ratios are favorable, and teachers are trained and experienced in early childhood education.

Complying with the Malaysian Education Ministry’s requirements, teachers prepare the environment and integrated materials that appeal to the senses of the child, leading each child on this exciting journey of attaining a life-long interest in learning.

The programme offers a wide range of subjects which include Jolly Phonics, Mandarin, Islamic studies and Moral studies. Gymnastics and an interactive keyboard based Music Programme are also part and parcel of our curriculum. Exposure to Montessori materials and practices ensures our children have the right foundation.

Children are encouraged to develop their sensorial awareness, gross motor skills and social skills through the exploration of arts & crafts, cooking sessions, science experiments, music & movement, fun games, role play, sand play, water play and story telling. Our integrated approach allows children the freedom of exploring a theme with excursions, group or individual projects and classroom discussions.

With our children in mind we carry out activities that enhance their learning experience such as family days, fun fairs, camp outs, cultural celebrations, excursions and a year end Concert & Graduation. To make the most of these activities we place emphasis on participation and enjoyment, ensuring our children have a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere to hone their confidence and presentation skills. To cultivate the creative spirit of each individual, Readers Theater, Story telling and Speech & Drama play a big role in our curriculum.

Outdoor play is an integral part of learning at Seri Rasa Saying, our children enjoy playing in the spacious grounds and taking turns to use play equipment while learning to socialize. Encouraging interaction between children teaches them tolerance and care for their friends and others, this we hope will be the lessons they carry to their future.

Every child will blossom when loved, this is the foundation of our teachers guide. It is an inspiration to learn from and for our children as such we encourage parental involvement and timely interaction between parents and staff.

We at Seri Rasa Sayang recognize the importance of balancing work and play, and believe that compliance and good behaviour can be learnt in a fun and meaningful way, when the environment is one of nurture and care.
